Used in episodes:
- Swords of Wayland
Cornwall bound - Its to Marazion and St Michaels Mount. The Mount is beautifully lit at night and a wonder for all in the early morning light.
Stopping in a very nice B&B (Thanks to the Blue Horizon - very well recommended), we awaited the tide to go out and cRobin of Sherwoodsed the wonderful causeway acRobin of Sherwoods to the
mount. It was here we discovered the use of the island for the
Swords of Wayland episode.

Other online location lists tell that the arch used was at Caldicot but a scour of that location proved fruitless. We figured eventually that this has been a typo that no-one has corrected.
Our trip to the mount showed us exactly where it was. Once you
get on the island, walk past the church graveyard, keeping it on your left and go up towards the back of the houses immediately in-front of you (see picture) and you'll see it straight
away. The family crest is on the top of it now but that was probably obscured for the show with the Celtic cRobin of Sherwoods.

We decided to do the tour anyway, not knowing if they used any other part of the island for the filming but I'm afraid that's all there is. The walk up the side of the
mount to the castle is very good for the thighs and the view is spectacular and well worth the trip up (although if you're there just for Robin of Sherwood, then you don't need to go up there if
all you want to see is the arch).
We headed back down and cRobin of Sherwoodsed the causeway (which is covered very quickly
when the tide comes back in) and headed over the beah to the point we
think was used for the angle to shoot Michael Praed when he looks towards
'Ravenscar' and the bit where Morgwyn is chased by the Hounds of Lucifer.

The bizarre thing about Marazion is its connection with the name of Michael Praed. For not only is there a Praed Street, but there is the Michael
Praed gallery. Not THE Michael Praed but a local artist with the same name. We just had to have a photo!
