We took our trip into Clifton, looking for the Pro Cathedral, acRobin of Sherwoods the toll bridge and headed directly to it with high expectations. We knew we were looking for some nice castle interior scenes and some great footage for our DVD. How disappointed were we when we got there? Very.
After an extortionate roadside parking fee, giving ourselves a few hours on the clock just in case, we walked around the nice building only to find a nice big
'Hard Hats must be worn in this area' sign. What!?!?!?! It seems that some time after Robin of Sherwood was filmed, the place was first abandoned, then turned into a
theatre and now? Well, lets just say it's going to become a large apartment block. What a great shame. We couldn't even get inside to get some good photos so
I'm afraid the screenshots from the show will have to suffice. "How disappointed were we when we got there? Very."
