Robin of Sherwood Brent Knoll location title

Used in episodes:
The Sheriff of Nottingham
The Prophecy
Robin of Sherwood Brent Knoll

It's a drive to the coast for this location. Berrow Beach was used as a substitute for the Holy Land, so get your toes out and hit the sand.

Once you're on the beach, you can see why it was used as a desert location, especially when the tide is out. When we arrived the sea was a heck of walk! Still, there was very little to look for as the Nasir flashback scene in The Sheriff of Nottingham could have literally been anywhere along this stretch of sand.
Robin of Sherwood - Where's the sea then???

"..you can see why it was used as a desert location, especially when the tide is out..."

We know, during the Robin of Sherwood Convention in 2008, Mark Ryan had told us that they couldn't turn the camera angle around because there were houses near enough directly in shot so that gives you an idea where they were for this location. He told us several funny stories about the camel, wanting to be in the shot and other things.

We turned our attention to The Prophecy and the use of the beach for Fairlight Cove in the show. Much would have rode the horse through the dunes at the back of the beach during the episode, with Michael Praed charging down into the water for the climax to rescue Sir Richard. There's not a huge amount to see at this location. Once you've visited it, there's only a cafe so we hit the road again and moved onto our next destination.
