Its great you could join us on the Trail of Robin of Sherwood website.

Being avid fans of the 1980's series, argueably the best Robin Hood version ever to grace our screens, we decided to celebrate the 25th Anniversary by revisiting all of the living sets used in the show. This website chronicles our journey and shows the locations as they are now.

Having seen many lists out here on the World Wide Web of the locations used, we have found on our travels that there have been several inaccuracies or omissions, and so, our list here is as reasonably comprehensive as you can get. The places on our list we have physically been to, stood where the cast stood, filmed from where the crew filmed and seen how these locations have changed through the years.

So if you're a 'die hard' Robin of Sherwood fan, like us, sit back, relax and enjoy taking a stroll down memory lane to those heady days of Herne the Hunter, where TV shows really did deliver proper entertainment.

Robin of Sherwood about us title bar

Duncan "The Gab" Buckley

Not only did I grow up with Robin of Sherwood but it feels like it is etched into my very mind. For many years, as a child, I (and my sister who lives down under now) watched countless episodes, over and over. Sad, I know, but when it happens to be the best (including the more recent 'attempt' at the legend) on the television, everyone watched avidly.

Now in my adulthood, I can honestly say, I'm not a "dress up" or "quote lines" from the show type of person but I do appreciate a good TV production when I see it and following in the footsteps of the show has really given a new dimension to the episodes. For me, having actually stood there brings the show a lot closer to me.

Lisa "The Lens" Buckley

I have been a more recent convert to the Robin of Sherwood fandom but have instantly fallen in love with the show since my husband Duncan has introduced me to it. Since then we've been to the Robin of Sherwood Convention, visited many of the locations and seen the episodes frequently.

The beliefs and mystical magic that Kip Carpenter bought to his interpretation has really made me see how good it was compared to the recent version. I have, and continue to enjoy, taking our insane tour around the country, seeing all the historical places and filming our 'pieces to camera'.
